Child Safety Standards
Stave has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards apply to all content and all interactions on the Stave app, in addition to our Terms of Use.
1. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is prohibited
Using Stave to post, share, request, promote or facilitate any form of sexual abuse or exploitation of children and teenagers, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), is strictly prohibited.
Also prohibited: grooming of minors; content that sexualizes minors, including drawn, edited or AI-generated content; sextortion; trafficking of minors; and any contact with minors with sexual intent, whether in reviews, photos, videos, comments, profiles or group messages.
2. Minimum age
Stave is intended for people aged 13 and over. Accounts we identify as belonging to people under the minimum age are closed.
3. How to report
In the app, tap the three dots on a review or profile and choose "Report". You can also block the user right away. Child safety reports are reviewed with priority.
Outside the app, email matheussilvasantiagou@gmail.com with the subject "Child safety". This is the contact for the Stave team responsible for child safety.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police. In Brazil, call 190 or Disque 100, or report at new.safernet.org.br/denuncie. In the US, report to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
4. What we do
CSAE content is removed as soon as it is identified, and the responsible account is permanently banned.
We report the material and available information to the competent authorities, such as the Federal Police in Brazil and NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), as required by applicable law, and we cooperate with investigations.
We preserve the information authorities need for the period required by law, even after the content is removed.
5. Legal compliance
Stave complies with applicable child protection laws, including Brazil's Statute of Children and Adolescents (Law No. 8,069/1990), and with app store policies.
